Beijing Day 2 - 11.03

Went around the neighborhood for one last breakfast. Went to bank of china to deposit excess cash, I was told they will charge me a fee of 0.5% because my branch was out of town. And they were not able to check my interest rates nor perform any other financial transactions. The non-sense of it all was astounding.

Back at the dorm we had a good chat with Julie the french girl. Gave her some tips about Mu Tian Yu and Xian. Then it was time to say goodbye.

Dong Zhi Men was surprisingly close to the airport. Only took the shuttle half an hour. I met and chatted with Xiao Yu in the airport briefly. Then we whiled away time with a pair of very yummy starbucks (yes I know I have sinned, forgive me father for I have I ate at the big evil) cheesecakes, for very cheap too. I really wanted to get a bottle of the chinese white distilled liquor (Xiao Hu Tu Xian), but couldn't cough up the 15USD when I knew it was much cheaper outside.
